Carlos Alcaraz is preparing for his Wimbledon semi-final against Taylor Fritz after a light practice session at Aorangi Park. The Spaniard, who appeared relaxed and content, has been praised by his coaches Juan Carlos Ferrero and Samuel Lopez for his progress and competitive maturity.

Ferrero gave Alcaraz a high rating, saying, “A 10, no? He’s in the semi-final. He hasn’t lost a match.” Lopez agreed, stating that Alcaraz deserves recognition for his performance. Since his first match with Fabio Fognini, Alcaraz has improved steadily. His serve has particularly stood out in recent matches against Andrey Rublev and Cameron Norrie.

Ferrero emphasized the importance of serving on grass courts: “The serve depends on a number of things; practice, feeling relaxed about the new movement, feeling comfortable.” Lopez added that improvement comes from practice before it translates to competition.

Alcaraz has fired 62 aces so far in the tournament and won 76 percent of points from his first serve. Ferrero acknowledged Alcaraz’s exceptional season: “He deserves so much credit for what he’s doing tournament after tournament.”

As Alcaraz prepares for the semi-finals with a 2-0 Lexus ATP Head2Head record against Fritz, he aims to secure another win towards a third consecutive Wimbledon title.
