Ksenia Chasteau, Takuya Miki, and Gonzalo Enrique Lazarte have all claimed victories at the Swiss Open Geneva. Chasteau won her first ITF 1 women’s singles title, marking a significant achievement following her Grand Slam doubles final appearance at Wimbledon. Her victory over Jinte Bos of the Netherlands resulted in a career-high ranking of No. 6 in women’s singles.
Bos reached two finals at the Swiss Open, partnering with Angelica Bernal for the women’s doubles. Despite losing both finals, Bos achieved a new career-high singles ranking of No. 13, positioning her for direct acceptance into the US Open.
Lazarte’s journey to his first ITF 1 Series quad singles title was relatively straightforward. He advanced to the final after Rob Shaw withdrew due to injury and secured a top 10 quad singles ranking.
Miki celebrated his second ITF 1 title, defeating Daniel Rodrigues in the men’s singles final. Although it was not his first ITF 1 title, Miki expressed strong emotions upon securing match point. Rodrigues did not leave empty-handed as he won the men’s doubles alongside Frederic Cattaneo.
