Novak Djokovic has achieved a significant milestone at Roland Garros, becoming the third male tennis player to secure 100 match wins at a Grand Slam event. This accomplishment places him alongside Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer in an exclusive group.
Djokovic’s victory over Cameron Norrie on Monday allowed him to join this elite club. Rafael Nadal holds 112 victories at Roland Garros, where he has claimed the championship title 14 times. Roger Federer has recorded 105 wins at Wimbledon, winning the tournament eight times, and also secured 102 match wins at the Australian Open with six titles.
Currently, Djokovic boasts a record of 100-16 at Roland Garros, having won the tournament in 2016, 2021, and 2023. By advancing to his 19th quarter-final at Roland Garros after defeating Norrie, Djokovic surpassed Federer’s record for the most quarter-finals reached by a man at a Grand Slam event. Federer previously held this record with 18 quarter-final appearances at Wimbledon.
Looking ahead, Djokovic aims to surpass the 100 match-wins milestone at Wimbledon later this month. His current record there stands at 97-12. At the Australian Open, Djokovic holds a record of 99-10 and has a tally of 90-14 at the US Open according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index.
This week, Djokovic is pursuing his goal of securing a record-extending 25th major title. He is set to face Alexander Zverev in the quarter-finals and enters that match with an advantageous Lexus ATP Head2Head series lead of 8-5.
