Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz, and Alex de Minaur have improved their chances of qualifying for the Nitto ATP Finals following recent performances at ATP 500 events in Beijing and Tokyo.

Taylor Fritz moved up to fifth place in the PIF ATP Live Race To Turin after reaching the final in Tokyo. The American earned 330 points in Japan as he seeks a return to the year-end event, where he reached the title match last season. Fritz has now reached three finals this year, winning titles in Eastbourne and Stuttgart.

Alexander Zverev advanced to third place by winning two matches at the China Open in Beijing. The German has participated in the Nitto ATP Finals seven times, securing victories in 2018 and 2021. Zverev currently holds a season record of 47 wins and 20 losses.

Alex de Minaur climbed to seventh place after reaching the semi-finals in Beijing. The Australian is now 640 points ahead of Felix Auger-Aliassime, who is just outside the Top 8 cut-off for qualification. Jack Draper, who sits ninth, will miss the remainder of the season due to injury. De Minaur’s campaign ended against champion Jannik Sinner.

Casper Ruud is now ranked eleventh after his semi-final appearance in Tokyo but remains 850 points behind Lorenzo Musetti, who holds eighth position—the last qualifying spot for Turin.

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have already secured their places at this year’s Nitto ATP Finals, scheduled from November 9-16 at Inalpi Arena in Turin.
