The ITF Academy has reached a significant milestone as the number of users on its education platform has exceeded half a million. Launched in March 2019, the Academy serves as an online hub providing information, education, and certification courses for ITF member nations, coaches, players, tennis support teams, parents, guardians, and fans.

Since its inception, 505,709 individuals have utilized the ITF Academy. This initiative aligns with the ITF’s mission to enhance tennis for future generations. Luca Santilli, the ITF’s Executive Director for Tennis Development stated: “We are delighted to have passed the 500,000-mark in terms of ITF Academy users and we very much hope to see that number rise to a million and beyond in the coming years.”

Santilli also referenced data from the 2024 Global Tennis Report indicating that 106 million people are currently playing and enjoying tennis. He emphasized their commitment to fostering growth across all aspects of the sport: “There are so many people who contribute to the growth and improvement of tennis, and the ITF Academy is a tremendous resource for individuals to learn more about the sport we all love.”

Registration for the ITF Academy is free. It offers various short e-learning courses on tennis and other sports such as wheelchair tennis, beach tennis, and blind tennis. Additionally, it features a library with videos from conferences, articles, and scientific research papers presented through text, images, videos, audio files, and animations.

The Academy remains a valuable resource for those seeking to expand their knowledge and skills in tennis.
