The ITF Sand Series Tour Finals will return to Brasília, Brazil, from November 29 to December 6, 2025. The event will offer a record $125,000 prize pool, the largest in the history of the Sand Series. The tournament has been extended from five to eight days and will feature the top eight men’s and women’s doubles teams. These teams are determined by the new ITF Sand Series Tour Final Race Rankings.
This ranking system was introduced for the 2025 season and shifts qualification from individual players to team-based performance. Points are earned at BT400, Sand Series, and World Championship events. While individual points continue to be awarded, team results are aggregated to identify top-performing pairs.
Returning for its second year after a successful debut in 2024, the finals will take place at two indoor venues: the BNB Basketball Arena with a capacity of 10,000 seats and a secondary temporary venue for 2,000 fans. Both venues are located near Estadio Mané Garrincha.
The competition begins with round-robin stages before proceeding to knockout rounds. Alongside the main draw is “New Wave,” an invitational event for emerging talents aged 17 to 21.
Brazil remains prominent in beach tennis by hosting numerous events on the ITF Beach Tennis calendar, including three Sand Series tournaments and these year-end finals.
Jackie Nesbitt from ITF expressed satisfaction with returning to Brasília after a successful event last year. Alexandre Farais of the Brazilian Tennis Confederation highlighted Brazil’s leadership in beach tennis as host of several key events. Renato Junqueira noted Brasília’s role as an international hub for sports tourism through hosting major sporting events like this one. Bruno Ferreira praised Brasília’s continued efforts in enhancing tournament standards since joining the global beach tennis scene in 2021.
