London has been chosen to host the ninth edition of the Laver Cup at The O2 from September 25-27, 2026. This announcement marks a return to the venue where Roger Federer concluded his illustrious career during the 2022 event, joined by tennis icons Rafa Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray.
The O2 is recognized as a leading live entertainment destination globally, hosting over 200 events annually since its opening in 2007. It previously hosted the ATP World Tour Finals from 2009 to 2020 and the Laver Cup in 2022. Notable performers like Taylor Swift and Elton John have graced its stage.
Laver Cup Chairman and TEAM8 CEO Tony Godsick expressed enthusiasm about returning to London: “We are thrilled to be bringing the Laver Cup back to London, one of the world’s great sporting cities.” He noted that London’s reception in 2022 set a high standard for future events.
Federer also shared his anticipation: “My final match in 2022 was filled with emotion and unforgettable memories… I’m really looking forward to returning to such a meaningful place.”
The Laver Cup honors Rod Laver by featuring top European male players against their global counterparts on a black court at The O2. Since its inception in Prague in 2017, it has traveled worldwide with Team Europe leading head-to-head results.
