Ross Hutchins has been named as the new Chief Executive Officer of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), with his tenure set to begin at the end of October 2025. Hutchins, who is currently serving as ATP Chief Sporting Officer, brings over twenty years of experience in tennis and management to his new role.

His background includes time as a professional tennis player, Olympian, Davis Cup player, and Tournament Director. Over the past eleven years, he has held several executive positions within the ATP Tour.

The ITF Board selected Hutchins following a comprehensive recruitment process. As CEO, he will be responsible for overseeing the ITF’s strategic direction, operations, and global development efforts. He will also lead initiatives for major events such as the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup and manage tennis and wheelchair tennis competitions at both the Olympics and Paralympics. Additionally, he will oversee various ITF Tours including Juniors, World Tennis Tour, Masters, Beach and Wheelchair circuits.

Hutchins is set to succeed Kelly Fairweather, who announced earlier this year that he would step down after nine years with the organization.

ITF President David Haggerty stated: “We are delighted to welcome Ross as the new CEO of the ITF. As the long-standing global guardian of the game, the ITF has a unique responsibility to protect and grow tennis worldwide, at every level.

“In recent years, the ITF has built strong momentum across key areas, from digital innovation and the restructuring of our tours to the introduction of a balanced calendar, and the continued growth of wheelchair tennis.

“Ross brings the leadership, vision and experience to the ITF that will help us deliver on our mission for the benefit of players, fans and nations around the world.

“I would like to thank Kelly Fairweather for his nine years of service and for his assistance with the transition process.”

Incoming CEO Ross Hutchins commented: “It is an honour to be joining the ITF at such a pivotal time for the sport, and I am delighted to be taking on the role. After an enjoyable and fulfilling 11 years at the ATP for which I am very grateful, the time is right for a new challenge. The breadth of work that ITF undertakes is inspiring, with its continual goal to drive sport forward across all levels of game and I am extremely excited and energised for challenge ahead.
