Jannik Sinner, ranked No. 1 in the PIF ATP Rankings, may face Novak Djokovic in a potential semi-final at Roland Garros this year. The Italian player is set to start his tournament against Arthur Rinderknech and could meet either Terence Atmane or Richard Gasquet in the second round. Gasquet is participating in his final career event.

Djokovic, who has won Roland Garros three times, will play Mackenzie McDonald in the first round. He might encounter Alexander Zverev, last year’s finalist, in the quarter-finals. Djokovic and Sinner are evenly matched with a 4-4 record in their Lexus ATP Head2Head series.

Sinner’s previous Grand Slam victories include titles at the Australian Open (2024, 2025) and the US Open (2024). He reached his first semi-final at Roland Garros last year and holds a 16-5 record there according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index. Possible opponents for Sinner include Arthur Fils in the fourth round and Jack Draper, Alex de Minaur, or Jakub Mensik in later rounds.

Carlos Alcaraz faces Kei Nishikori as he begins defending his title. The draw also suggests possible matches against Ben Shelton or Stefanos Tsitsipas in later rounds. Casper Ruud is another potential opponent for Alcaraz in the quarter-finals.

Among notable first-round matchups are Hubert Hurkacz versus Joao Fonseca and Alexander Zverev against Learner Tien. Taylor Fritz will compete against Daniel Altmaier to start his campaign.

The draw was conducted with Paris Saint Germain football star Ousmane Dembele as a special guest.
